News & Events – NECC NEF Enduro3 2012
NECC NEF Enduro3- 2012 is the 10th feather in this crown of adventurous sports named NECC NEF Enduro3. We celebrate this 10th step by asserting our presence throughout India and welcoming teams from various cities including Delhi, Mumbai, Chennai, and Bangalore.
The team is full of oomph and positive spirit and operating on much larger scale as compared to previous editions. Every edition of Enduro3 has been different and more magnificent than the past editions and it is the NEF team who dedicates minds and souls to plan, design and execute everything from the ever-changing race routes to the additions of disciplines. Along with this extensive marketing and media communication is handled by the team of volunteers who forget everything and work for this lifetime experience – Enduro3.

Race Route and Disciplines
NECC NEF Enduro3 will take place on 25th and 26th February, 2012. It will be conducted through the panoramic Sahyadri ranges. The route will run through forts like Sinhagad, Torna, Rajgad and the adjacent Konkan region, thus the teams will cover almost 200 km distance in this race.
Race Disciplines for 2012 edition
Small Distance Category (30 to 40km)
Following are the various disciplines and categories under small distance range.
Small distance category will have – Disciplines: Trekking (15km), Cycling (25km) and Navigation.
Medium Distance Category (Approx 80km)
Following are the various disciplines and categories under medium distance range.
Medium distance category will have Disciplines: Trekking (25km), Cycling (65km) River crossing (with the help of rope approx 300m), Rifle shooting and navigation
Higher Distance Category (Approx150km)
Following are the various disciplines under higher distance range.
Higher distance category will have Disciplines: Trekking (35km), Cycling (115km) River crossing (with the help of rope approx 300m), Rifle shooting, Kayaking and navigation
Amateur: No specific criteria anybody can participate – one girl candidate is compulsory in the team of three. (Fee: Rs. 2500 per Team)
Highest Category (Approx 200km)
Following are the various disciplines under highest distance range.
Highest distance category will have Disciplines: Trekking (45km), Cycling (145km) River crossing (with the help of rope approx 300m), Rifle shooting, Kayaking, Rappelling and navigation
Open: No specific criteria any three can participate – one girl candidate is compulsory in the team of three. (Fee: Rs. 3500 per Team)
